New and exciting to plant this spring: Burpee unveiled the world’s first purple strawberry at the Philadelphia International Flower Show this week. The unique color or this June bearing cultivar, a deep rose-purple through and through, was developed by horticulturalist Courtney Weber, associate professor and small fruits breeder at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
